The largest annual modern quilting event is underway in Raleigh, North Carolina, this weekend, and there is so much to see! I’m not sure if I’ll ever truly soak it all in, but today, let’s take a look at just a sliver of what the show floor looked like on opening day.

Contest Quilts
Most of the quilts at the show are juried into the contest and judged prior to the show.

February 20, 2026 at 8:07 pmI thought your quilts were some of the best in the show, especially in terms of excellent technique. I can see that MQG has priorities other than perfect technique, but I really admired your entries.
