The only thing better than cold lemonade on a hot day is a fruit-infused lemonade! When I was growing up, fruity lemonades were always concocted with flavored syrups. However, everything changed when I had my first raspberry lemonade made with actual fruit- now fancy lemonade is my favorite beverage!
Raspberry Lemonade Block Pattern
I’m thrilled to offer this block as a part of Quilt Block Mania, and the theme for March 2025 is Fancy Drinks.
Customize this foundation paper pieced block with your favorite fruity addition. Will your lemonade feature raspberry, blueberry, strawberry, or kiwi?
Color and Fabric
I used Painter’s Palette Solids from PBS fabrics to create this block. You don’t need big pieces of any particular fabric, so this can be a great project to use with scraps. I added a bit of whimsy to my block by swapping a petite polka dot print in for the straw. If you like this idea, try to find a small, scattered print with an all-over design or irregular spacing within the print.
