The beginning of September brings the unofficial start of Fall with schools back in session, pumpkin spice infiltrating everything, and The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show happening this weekend.
I’m thrilled to vend at this show again and to share an overview of the show in pictures today. Although I spent almost the entire day in my booth, I did manage to capture some highlights of the overall event.
PBS
The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show is a fundraiser for PBS. The first thing you’ll see when entering the space is the PBS booth and a display of raffle items you can enter to win.
I donated a Zoo Family Portrait Pattern and Fabric Bundle to this fantastic collection of prizes.
The Quilt Exhibit
The central feature of the event is the Exhibit of Quilts. This is a juried show, and a huge range of quilting styles represent traditional, art, and modern quilts.
Vendors
High-quality vendors packed into the convention center for this event. There is something for every quilter here, even if you only know what you need once you see it!
Stage Presentations
You can sign up for lectures and hands-on classes and check the schedule for the free stage presentations in the main hall.
Special Exhibits
The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show always features several special exhibits; this year was no exception. Here are just a few of my favorites:
Modern Mini Challenge
Black and White Plus One
Cherrywood Challenge
Modern Motion
If you are coming to the show
If you attend the 2024 show today or tomorrow, I hope you will visit me in booth 124!
If you can’t make it to the show this year but live in the region, plan to attend next year. This phenomenal regional show is worth attending!
